The engine family commonly called the LS series debuted in 1997. General Motors called it the Gen-III Small-Block, with the iron-block versions in trucks and the all-aluminum LS1 introduced in the then-new C5 Corvette. GM has continued to refer to its modern V-8 engine family as Gen III and Gen IV, but to the enthusiasts who quickly grasped the tremendous performance potential of the engines, every engine of the platform is nicknamed “LS.”
This engine is a 100% Brand New GM 5.3L that GM built for 2005-2009 Trucks and SUV’s. ATK went through the engine doing a camshaft and valve spring upgrade along with building it as a non AFM/DOD version of engine. This engine will come with the valve covers and timing cover. This is a limited production an all-aluminum engine that is known for its extra-thick cylinder sleeves. For optimal Performance you will need headers, chassis dyno tune (required) and upgraded injectors.

MSD has answered this demand with an updated and improved version of the popular 6LS box. Whether using a stock crate engine or building a custom powerhouse, the MSD LS Ignition provides the control you need to achieve the performance you want. Dial in the perfect tune for your LS using the easily adjustable preset timing curves or hookup to your computer and program a custom setup with our user friendly MSD View software. New features of the LS Ignition include; high speed data acquisition, an optional coolant temperature sensor input, idle timing control, as well as individual cylinder timing. These features are in addition to the existing programmable step retard, launch retard and RPM rev limiters from its predecessor.

Intake Manifold
This powerful manifold is designed for the popular Chevrolet LS1 (5.7L) small-block V8 originally used in 1997 and later Corvettes and 1998-02 Camaros and Firebirds. It also fits the Corvette LS6 engine and any other Gen III engine including the LM7.

Engine Oil Pan
Chevrolet Performance LS Swap Oil Pan Kits are manufactured for front engine 1955-95 RWD V8 GM car or truck with a traditional rear wet sump oil pan arrangement. Designed around the LS Muscle Car oil pan, these kits include most necessary parts for installation, including oil pan, dipstick and tube, bolts, gaskets, pickup tube, and windage tray. Oil Pans hold up to 5 quarts of oil. Oil pan has M22 X 1.5 oil filter thread.
