240 Horsepower Rotax Turbocharged Engine:

The heart of the Maverick R X RS is a brand new 999cc turbocharged triple-cylinder Rotax engine producing an astonishing 240 horsepower . With three driving modes, including an anti-lag system in Sport+, you can choose the one that fits your needs . This rev-happy Rotax engine and proper dual-clutch transmission make for “simply a more enjoyable experience” than the competition .

7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT):

It makes the Maverick R one of the few sporty side-by-sides ever built that doesn’t use a rubber-belt CVT . With 240 horsepower to work with on the trails, there are plenty of passenger cars out there that make just a fraction of that figure. The implications for a vehicle this light and this agile are “nothing short of insanity” . Plenty of sporty side-by-sides will rock you back in your seat off the line. But how many of these can sustain that surge of power well beyond the meat and potatoes in the rev range? Smart-Lok Differential Technology:
The drivetrain features four modes including two-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive with Can-Am’s Visco-Lok auto locking front differential has two modes, Trail and Trail Active modes . Smart-Lok allows you to fully lock the front differential for full-time locked in four-wheel drive .

Advanced Engine Features:

• Cylinders feature a plasma coating rather than a sleeve (similar to Nikasil), which dissipates heat much faster .
• The turbo is directly mounted to the engine block, providing integrated oil and water cooling while reducing vibration .
• Two radiators keep the engine running cool .
• Fuel injection with dual injectors per cylinder for more consistent fuel delivery throughout the RPM range .
• At idle, Sport+ mode runs on only two cylinders, using the vacuum from the third cylinder to pre-spool the turbo and prevent lag.
